Looks like people were too quick to get on board with opening tourism after the COVID-19 lockdown was lifted on August 10th. With tourism re-opened in the country, there’s some need for caution. Yesterday, about 10 tourists who went to Naran have already tested positive for the Coronavirus.<\/p>\n

Turns out several staff members in Naran and Kaghan valley also tested positive for the infection a day ago.<\/p>\n After 47 employees contracted COVID-19 over the weekend, hotels in Naran and Kaghan are now closed. Kaghan development Authority state that the people are to blame for this since they weren’t taking precautionary measures.<\/p>\n \u201cPeople were not properly following the standard operating procedures (SOPs) in tourists\u2019 destinations of Mansehra district signaling that COVID-19 cases might resurface and increase in the areas,\u201d\u00a0.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n It was made clear that although the country is being reopened for economic reasons, and people will still have to follow standard precautions.<\/p>\n District Government official, Maqbool Hussain revealed that authorities have decided to re-impose lockdown in high-risk areas of Shogran, Naran and Kaghan.
