Just moments ago, United States of America President Donald Trump and his wife and First Lady Melania Trump have both been confirmed to test positive for coronavirus.<\/p>\n
“Tonight, @FLOTUS and I tested positive for COVID-19. We will begin our quarantine and recovery process immediately. We will get through this TOGETHER!” Trump tweeted shortly before 1 am Friday (US Time).<\/p>\n
Earlier, Donald Trump had tweeted that he and the First Lady were planning to enter quarantine.<\/p>\n
The decision to quarantine came after White House aide Hope Hicks, who was in close proximity to the US President, tested positive for COVID-19. She was also present with him during the debate on Cleveland on Tuesday. She was also onboard the Marine One with several other high-ranking officials of the administration –\u00a0 Jared Kushner, Dan Scavino and Nicholas Luna. Reports state that none of them were wearing any masks as Trump held a campaign rally in Minnesota on Wednesday.<\/p>\n
