Imran Khan has singlehandedly sparked a craze for Turkish TV content. And now pundits are of the view that he might turn non-readers into avid readers as well, thanks to his widespread appeal and influence among the country’s youth. But enough about him, let’s talk about what the book is about.<\/p>\n

The Forty Rules of Love is a novel about Maulana Jalal-ud-din (Rumi, yes that one whose quotes we all love sharing). The novel narrates the adventures of Rumi and his companion Shams Tabrizi.<\/p>\n

About the Forty Rules of Love<\/h3>\n

This best selling novel was written by Turkish author Elif Shafak in 2009. It is a book about Sufism, Rumi, divine love, and Shams Tabriz.<\/p>\n

The novel takes us on a ride with Ella, who starts to doubt how her life is progressing. It is a life that doesn’t have any real passion or love. How does one find these elusive things?<\/p>\n

To find the answer, Ella seeks out Shams of Tabriz, who offers wisdom and advice that help us find the inspiration and spiritual peace we so much crave.<\/p>\n

Seeing how PM Imran Khan is fascinated by Turkish culture, this was a natural recommendation by him.<\/p>\n

Imran Khan took to his Instagram, and this is what he had to say regarding his latest craze:<\/p>\n

“This October, I suggest our youth to read\u00a0The Forty Rules of Love<\/em>\u00a0by Elif Shafak. An inspirational book about divine love, Sufism, Rumi and his Murshid Shams Tabriz. I read it a few years back and was deeply inspired,” Khan suggested the audiences.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
