ASI Akbar Ali&#8217;s viral fame led to the Chief Minister of Punjab taking notice of the issue. He said the government can\u2019t permit anybody to torture women. He also issued directives to provide justice to the assault victim.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Trigger warning:<\/strong> In the viral video, ASI Akbar Ali can be seen slapped a young woman, as bystanders do nothing to intervene. He then grabs her by the arm and drags her away.<\/p>\n<p>https:\/\/twitter.com\/khalidsmarti\/status\/1313394377591582722<\/p>\n<p>Aside from ensuring that Akbar Ali is convicted for his crimes, the safety of the victim must be ensured.<\/p>\n<p>Observers allege that when the Gujranwala ASI is released from prison on bail or after serving his sentence, there might be repercussions for the female victim.
