With fame and popularity comes a lot of pros and cons, and some Turkish actresses from\u00a0Dirili\u015f: Ertu\u011frul\u00a0<\/strong>have been facing more cons than pros these days. Earlier this year, Esra Bilgi\u00e7 was a part of a major controversy in Pakistan for wearing ‘inappropriate’ clothes. Now, it’s fellow actress Hande Suba\u015f\u0131 who is facing similar issues with her Pakistani fans.<\/p>\n

The 36-year-old who played the role of Aykiz Hatun in the Turkish historical series has gained a massive fan-following in Pakistan. She has been a famous model in Turkey and the winner of the 2005 Miss Turkey competition.<\/p>\n

The star has appeared in countless Turkish shows and movies, but her rise to stardom in Pakistan began after the show\u00a0Ertu\u011frul<\/strong> started airing in the country.<\/p>\n

Hande Subasi gets moral-policed<\/h3>\n

Recently, Hande was seen enjoying a wonderful vacation in Bozburun with her beau Alican Ulusoy. While she looked like she was having a great time, her pictures did not sit well with the\u00a0desi<\/em> audience.<\/p>\n

Leave to the desi<\/em> trolls to start moralizing sermons for people they have no relation with, and that’s exactly what they did with Subasi. Not many among the Pakistani population are as God-fearing as they want others to be, and the ‘phrase practice what you preach’ is lost amongst this lot.<\/p>\n

One Instagram user commented on Hande Suba\u015f\u0131’s picture saying:<\/p>\n

These two comments, among many others, show that fans from this side of the world keep on seeing everything under the guise of religion. They forget that religion is a personal matter, and these Turkish celebrities don’t owe anything to anyone else.<\/p>\n

How soon will Pakistani fans realize that one should refrain from poking their nose into someone else’s beliefs?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Who knows, these slut-shaming folks dance to and enjoy item songs, <\/em>turn a blind eye to the growing rape culture in the country. But when it comes to celebrities, perhaps they need to do some soul searching before attacking someone over their attire. How about we speak on more pressing social issues our country is currently dealing with?<\/p>\n

Here’s to hoping that Pakistanis can learn to silently ignore and unfollow celebrities whose choices they don’t agree with.<\/p>\n
