Prime Minister Imran Khan’s Bani Gala residence has been in the news for a lot of reasons. But ever wondered how big is it?<\/p>\n

Recently, the Capital Development Authority (CDA) approved the map of Prime Minister Imran Khan\u2019s Bani Gala house after he paid a fine of Rs1.206 million.<\/p>\n

According to the approved map, it has six bedrooms, a drawing room, a dining hall, a playroom, an office and a reception area.<\/p>\n

The residence has been regularized, however the authority hasn’t reviewed the master plan of Islamabad yet. As the news of the premier’s hefty fine made it to headlines, people started questioning his assets. Some were of the view that the move is ‘discriminatory treatment’, however, CDA officials insist that it is not.<\/p>\n

They further said that individual houses in zones 2, 4 and 5 can be approved under building bylaws implemented in January 2020. It is pertinent to note here that the premier’s house is situated in Zone 4.<\/p>\n

The CDA officials said two other maps were approved before the prime minister\u2019s residence and so far, six maps have been approved in total.<\/p>\n

Let’s take a dig at PM Imran Khan’s assets<\/h3>\n

Last month, the Election Commission of Pakistan released a detailed report<\/a> on the financial assets of the Prime Minister and the National Assembly members.<\/p>\n

According to the report, the total value of PM Khan’s assets stand at Rs80.6 million. He owns 10 immovable properties in Pakistan, while he has inherited a seven-Kanal house in Zaman Park, Lahore, which is valued at Rs40.53 million.<\/p>\n

The report says that Imran Khan received a 300-Kanal house in Bani Gala as a gift. But the additional construction-related costs of the house cost him around Rs10.14 million.<\/p>\n

Imran Khan has four goats worth Rs200,000 in total, and Rs50.66 million in a Pakistani bank account. On the other hand, his wife Bushra Bibi owns four properties in the country, including Pakpattan, Okara and Bani Gala.<\/p>\n
