Before marrying the Prince, Meghan was an American actress and a philanthropist. In 2004, she started dating film producer Trevor Engelson. 6 years into their relationship, the celebrity power couple was engaged.<\/p>\n
In 2011 Meghan tied the knot with Trevor, but the marriage lasted only 2 years. There were a lot of speculations around their separation. But according to The Sun<\/strong>‘s article for Women’s Day, the core reason for their divorce was ‘long-distance relationship’ problems.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n When the 39-year-old was cast for\u00a0Suits<\/strong>, she had to constantly travel to Toronto, Canada. And that did not do well for the newlywed couple. Here’s what one of the sources told\u00a0The Sun<\/strong>:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n it was a very difficult way to start married life.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n Her maid of honor, Ninaki Priddy, was also quoted saying:<\/p>\n <\/p>\n [Engelson traveled] back and forth from LA and there was a lot of Skyping and FaceTiming going on.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Even with all the love and support, the distance caught the worst of them, and they eventually parted ways. Luckily, that was not the case with Meghan and Prince Harry.
