2020 was one hell of a roller coaster ride for almost all of us – it has us all hoping that 2021 will be a peaceful, merry-go-round filled with lots of comfort and happiness. But to bid farewell to the most awful year in human history, let\u2019s take a look at some of the major controversies that broke the internet this year.<\/p>\n
Even before the pandemic hit Pakistan, we had already seen some wild controversial debates floating around on the World Wide Web. This year started with the major Khalil-ur-Rehman\/ Marvi Sirmed fight and ended with Engin Altan\u2019s meeting with the country\u2019s wanted felon.<\/p>\n
Needless to say, the year hasn\u2019t been easy for most, and some have suffered more so than others. But we are glad we made it to the end. Let\u2019s hope the new year will bring us some closure from the toxic relationship we had with 2020. In May of 2020, we saw the first major controversy pop-up, it was something we had never witnessed before. A Pakistani female celebrity, Uzma Khan, was brutally beaten up by the jealous wife, who accused her of cheating with her husband. Videos of Uzma, getting physically and verbally abused, started making rounds on the internet.<\/p>\n
After both the parties made public appeals, 3 versions of story emerged on the internet. The first one revolved around Amna Usman [the abuser] who alleged that the 33-year-old actress was having an affair with her husband, Usman Malik. She also added that the house she \u201cbroke and entered\u201d into was in her husband\u2019s name.<\/p>\n
