The controversial travel ban was first passed via Trump’s executive order back in January 2017.<\/p>\n The first ban prevented people from Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen. The ban prevents people from these states from visiting the US for 90 days. The ban also suspended entry to all Syrian refugees indefinitely and prohibited any other refugees from coming into the country for 120 days.<\/p>\n Just days later on January 31, 2017, the Muslim ban was extended to Eritrea, Kyrgyzstan, Myanmar, Nigeria, Sudan, and Tanzania.<\/p>\n With Joe Biden lifting the discriminatory ban by next week, Muslims from these countries are lauding the president-elect.<\/p>\n Rescinding the #MuslimBan<\/a> on the 1st day of office is a very Welcoming Step!
