Countless netizens took to Twitter to express their concerns over the owners&#8217; disgraceful behavior with the restaurant&#8217;s manager. Many even wondered whether the ladies needed a &#8216;privilege check&#8217;. But it all, hopefully, comes to an end with the restaurant&#8217;s logo getting replaced with Urdu typography. Or does it?<\/p>\n<h3>The Cannoli Scandal<\/h3>\n<p>A video posted by Cannoli on Instagram, that was later deleted, caused outrage on social media. The owners could be seen humiliating their restaurant&#8217;s manager over his inability to converse in fluent English.<\/p>\n<p>Netizens made it their duty to school the owners on privilege and prejudice. The hashtag #BoycottCannoli was also trending on Twitters. The backlash was followed by an ingenuine apology statement by Cannoli Islamabad. The <em>apology<\/em> statement was scrutinized. And on top of that, Awais&#8217; statements were deemed &#8216;scripted&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>Now, to put an end to the whole scandal, Cannoli has changed its logo. The typography of its logo was in English when the whole scandal started. They reportedly participated in a Urdu <em>mushaira &#8216;<\/em>in protest&#8217; outside the caf\u00e9.
