Peshawar High Court has issued a ruling to ban the video-sharing app, TikTok over immoral content. Surprisingly an influencer from the platform, Hareem Shah supports the TikTok ban.<\/p>\n
So why is a TikTok star supporting the PHC TikTok ban? Hareem Shah said, after several warnings, many people have lost their lives just to make a few seconds video.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe have raised our voices against the ban imposed on TikTok earlier. However, many people have lost their lives just to create a TikTok video\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

\nThe TikToker said PHC was ‘forced to take such a decision’<\/em>\u00a0because people were misusing the app. She then admitted that people find a way to misuse most things.<\/p>\n
\u201cWhen people find something new, they start misusing it instead of using it wisely\u201d.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Hareem Shah then extended support to the government on the move. She said:<\/p>\n
“The government makes a decision, it does so by keeping us [people] in mind. If we want to make a video, we should make something beneficial.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
It was actually a state body, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) that banned TikTok in compliance with the PHC order. PTA has declared directives to all service providers to immediately block access to the TikTok app across Pakistan.<\/p>\n

Previously when the PTA banned the video-sharing app citing public complaints the public lashed out at authorities over the ban. The widespread backlash had the organization reconsider its stance and the ban was lifted.<\/p>\n
