A few months back, Minal Khan took the entertainment industry and social media by storm with her character of Nisha in Jalan<\/em>. This was the first negative role that she ever played and it created a lot of buzz among her fandom.<\/p>\n

However, people were not happy with Nisha. Jalan<\/em> was a controversial play and so was Minal’s character. It didn’t fit well with the audience but as an actress who played a challenging role, Minal Khan says the experience taught her confidence and self-reliance.<\/p>\n

In a recent episode of Time Out with Ahsan Khan<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>the actress said that playing a negative character like Nisha helped her explore her own personality which in turn gave her more confidence.\u00a0Speaking with the host, she said,<\/p>\n

\u201cI think letting out a side that appears negative on screens is crucial for us actors because it\u2019s not negativity for us but a way to find confidence. What I learned from my character Nisha from Jalan<\/em>\u00a0was purely self-reliance.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Fellow actress and her friend Saboor Aly also shared her two cents as she also portrayed the character of a self-centred girl in Fitrat<\/em>.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere\u2019s a lot of margin when it comes to playing the antagonist. I thoroughly enjoyed it because it made me explore the creative side I was holding onto for so long.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
