He even said that the bitter truth is that they want to see crying women and men. In recent years, Adnan Siddiqui has produced two dramas very close to his heart, <em><strong>Seeta Bagri<\/strong><\/em> and <em><strong>Ghughi<\/strong><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><em><strong>Seeta Bagri<\/strong><\/em> was about minorities and <em><strong>Ghughi<\/strong><\/em> was a period drama based on Amarta Preetam\u2019s Novel Pinjer. Despite the captivating storyline and stellar cast with actors like Bushra Ansari, Qavi Khan, Sarwat Gilani, Shabbir Jan, and Syed Jibran; as well as emerging prodigies like Amar Khan, Hamza Firdous in <em><strong>Ghughi<\/strong><\/em>; both serials didn\u2019t grab ratings.<\/p>\n<p>The Pakistani public didn&#8217;t watch these progressive plays.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Both the dramas did great abroad and people living abroad responded really well to the dramas.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>He even recalled when state-broadcaster, Pakistan Television (PTV)\u00a0 had a monopoly it would generate progressive plays.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Back in PTV days, there were a lot of dramas on minorities, PTV could make at that time and you can\u2019t work on such scripts in modern times \u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>More About Adnan Siddiqui<\/h3>\n<p>Adnan Siddiqui shot to fame early on in his career given his impressive acting skills. His first claim to fame was via drama serial &#8216;<strong><em>Uroosa<\/em><\/strong>&#8216; with Mishi Khan. He has never looked back since.
