On his 5th death anniversary, Amjad Sabri&#8217;s children remember him and pay a tribute.<\/p>\n<p>The qawwal was shot dead in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dawn.com\/news\/1266514\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Karachi<\/a>, right after finishing a morning TV show on June 22, 2016 (16th Ramazan). His last naat recorded in the studio was \u2018<em>Ae Sabz Gumbad Wale Manzoor Dua Karna<\/em>\u2019\u00a0which included the stanza:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>Main qabr andheri mein ghabraoon ga jab tanha, Imdaad meri karnay aajana meray aaqa.<\/em>&#8221; (When I shudder in my dark tomb, dear Prophet, look after me.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>On his 5th death anniversary, Amjad Sabri&#8217;s children took to their respective social media handles and shared how much the miss him.<\/p>\n<p>Hoorain Sabri, his daughter shared some memories with her father and wrote,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;<em>Or aj phir wo din agaya<\/em>. Its been 5years now and i still can\u2019t believe this. We miss you. <em>Hum jitna apni life mein busy hojayein ek incomplete ehsas hamare sth rehta hai.<\/em>&#8221; (No matter how much we get busy in our lives, an incomplete feeling lives with us.)<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\t<blockquote  \r\n\t\tclass=\"instagram-media\" \r\n\t\tdata-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/COOPNNph2mv\/\" \r\n\t\tdata-instgrm-version=\"14\" \r\n\t\tstyle=\"max-width:540px; min-width:300px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\">\r\n\t<\/blockquote>\r\n\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script>\r\n\r\n\t\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Mujaddid Sabri, who is also a qawwal like his father, shared a side by side collage with his Sabri wearing the same <em>kurta<\/em> he once wore. He wrote,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;Same kurta. 16 Ramazan.
