In the aftermath of Israel’s oppression of Palestine, the world has chosen to stay silent. Social media is divided where one side is being unheard for supporting Palestine and the other continues to justify the settler colonialism of Israel. Pakistani singer Asim Azhar is lending his voice for Palestinians and he just settled the facts straight after Israel\u2019s official Twitter made a false claim.<\/p>\n
The country claimed to be on the map of the world for 3,000 years and said that they have been ‘under attack.’ It is quite evident that it’s the other way around.<\/p>\n
“We have been here for 3,000 years and we’re here to stay. Terrorists trying to plunge the region into violence and darkness will never prevail. #IsraelUnderAttack<\/a>“<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
The tweet did not sit well with the artist and he schooled them for making false claims about their history. He responded,<\/p>\n
“Your \u2018country\u2019 was literally founded, sorry i mean forced on the world in 1948. Humse bhi aik saal chotay ho, aide tussi 3,000 years kay. [You’re one year younger than Pakistan and you claim you’re 3000 years old] Stop the terrorism.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
