The statement comes in the backdrop of the actress&#8217; recent agreement for a web series with an Indian OTT platform.<\/p>\n<p>According to the reports, Mahira Khan, Sarmad Khoosat, Yasra Rizvi and other talented actors are working on a project with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/zeetheatre\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Zee Theatre<\/a>. Titled as <em>Yaar Julahay<\/em>, it is a series of dramatic readings of the works of legendary Urdu writers.<\/p>\n\t<blockquote  \r\n\t\tclass=\"instagram-media\" \r\n\t\tdata-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/COj4AZ2qcJ-\/\" \r\n\t\tdata-instgrm-version=\"14\" \r\n\t\tstyle=\"max-width:540px; min-width:300px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\">\r\n\t<\/blockquote>\r\n\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script>\r\n\r\n\t\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a recent interview, the <em>Humsafar<\/em> star revealed that ever since Pakistani artists have been banned to work in India, she has hesitated to take on new projects across the border.<\/p>\n<p>She received various offers for digital projects, but she turned them down out of fear. However, she has decided to start working in India now and doesn&#8217;t want to let politics get in the way.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cBut I was scared and I have no shame in admitting it. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/timesofindia.indiatimes.com\/entertainment\/hindi\/bollywood\/news\/mahira-khan-approached-for-an-upcoming-project-in-india-mns-cinema-wing-opposes\/articleshow\/82725569.cms\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Times of India<\/strong><\/a>, the President of MNS-Cinema wing Ameya Khopkar has said in a statement that they won&#8217;t allow Pakistani actors to work in India.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&#8220;We will not allow Mahira Khan or any other Pakistani artists to work here be it Maharashtra or in any part of the country.&#8221;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>This is not the first time such a statement has been made.
