While <strong><em>Pardes<\/em><\/strong> also largely focuses on the immigrant working-class, the drama highlights the exploitation of the male breadwinners.<\/p>\n<p>The drama serial draws light to sacrifices made by the family. With Shaista Lodhi and Sarmad Khoosat playing the leads no wonder, this is a must-watch.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Aakhir Kab Tak<\/h3>\n\t<blockquote  \r\n\t\tclass=\"instagram-media\" \r\n\t\tdata-instgrm-permalink=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/p\/CO-EDwOF0an\/\" \r\n\t\tdata-instgrm-version=\"14\" \r\n\t\tstyle=\"max-width:540px; min-width:300px; padding:0; width:99.375%; width:-webkit-calc(100% - 2px); width:calc(100% - 2px);\">\r\n\t<\/blockquote>\r\n\t<script async src=\"\/\/www.instagram.com\/embed.js\"><\/script>\r\n\r\n\t\n<p><strong><em>Aakhir Kab Tak<\/em><\/strong> tries to highlight how the groundwork for exploitation starts at home. If children cannot go to their parents when facing harassment, it will escalate to sexual violence and worse.<\/p>\n<p>When parents cannot make their children feel secure, their insecurity is bound to be taken advantage of at home and outside of the home.<\/p>\n<p>The drama serial also highlighted a key point that the abusers are most likely people the parents know and trust. Hence why the victims fear being dismissed. We are totally rooting for Ushna Shah as Noor.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Pakistani Dramas That Miss The Mark<\/h3>\n<p><strong><em>Phaans<\/em><\/strong> tries to highlight how &#8216;justice&#8217; varies from class to class in Pakistani society. However, all that suspense about how the real culprit is Sahil leaves too much room for misunderstanding.<\/p>\n<p>Drama serials about mental health and disorders can often do more harm than good.
