When Strings<\/em> called it quits, it left several fans of the iconic band heartbroken. Now we’re finally getting closure as to why it happened. Faisal Kapadia, the lead vocalist of Strings<\/em> finally revealed why the duo parted ways after 33 years.<\/p>\n

In his appearance on The MJ Show<\/em> video podcast, the singer shared how the duo decided to disband as far back as 2017 and 2018.<\/p>\n

At the time the band was working on the final album 30<\/em><\/strong>. The musicians thought they’d finally spend more time with the family.<\/p>\n

“We were thinking about what we are going to do after\u00a030<\/em>, … See, Strings could go on, we could be 70 years old and still have Strings<\/em> since it is our love and something we have lived with. But we were looking at the band like when you’ve lived a really good life and you start to think that it’s better to end it right here on a good note.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He opened up about how saying goodbye was hard for them too.<\/p>\n

“You really don’t feel like ending things because it’s your thing, and especially after the\u00a030<\/em> album, things were going great. Strings<\/em>\u00a0were performing on the biggest platforms, doing the biggest shows and all, but it was precisely at a time like this that we needed to take this decision, to cut the cord. Otherwise we [would] start going downhill gradually, that is an automatic process in itself. When you want to cherish it, you cherish it at a high point.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n
