Women constantly have to deal with body-shaming but you’d think pregnant women would be spared. Recently trolls went after Sarah Khan for flaunting her baby bump.<\/p>\n

After stirring rumors of a pregnancy, Sarah Khan and Falak Shabbir announced news of their first pregnancy in the Deewar-e-Shab<\/em><\/strong> starlet’s second trimester.<\/p>\n\t\t

The couple was beaming as they uploaded pictures of the Ijazat<\/em> <\/strong>singer cradling his wife’s baby bump.<\/p>\n

Recently, the Raqs-e-Bismil<\/em><\/strong> actress posted a picture on Instagram<\/a> cradling her baby bump. She captioned the image;<\/p>\n

\u201cI can not wait to hold you in my arms InshAllah.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Rather than send love and support for the soon-to-be new mom, plenty of trolls body-shamed the Mohabbat Aag Si<\/em> <\/strong>actress instead.<\/p>\n

Some were even ignorant enough to assert it was ‘unIslamic’ to be proud of your baby bump, Since when?<\/p>\n

It’s unclear why the same kind of people that don’t hold back from prying and asking personal questions like when are you having a baby, are offended when someone is proud to be having a baby.<\/p>\n

Despite all the societal pressure to have children soon after marriage, and placing a women’s value in being able to have children, these people are shaming a woman for flaunting her baby bump.<\/p>\n\t\t

This really highlights how women are shamed for every choice they make. While some of the haters were concerned that flaunting her happiness and pregnancy might draw the ‘evil eye’ or nazar, no one is concerned about the effect of these comments on the mother’s mental health.<\/p>\n
