Over the weekend, veteran comedian Umer Sharif passed away in Germany. The legend was set to travel to the United States for treatment but passed away prior to arrival.<\/p>\n
He had been battling serious health problems for a prolonged time now. The Pakistan Television Network era artist had reached out to the government to help him go abroad for treatment urgently. Despite government efforts and Dr. Tariq Shahab having a plan of treatment for him, Umer Sharif passed away on Saturday.<\/p>\n

The death of the legendary comedian Umer Sharif left millions of fans heartbroken. His family confirmed his passing. Meanwhile, Dr. Tariq Shahab, Reema Khan’s husband, and Reema Khan also released a statement.<\/p>\n
\u201cI\u2019m very sad that Umer Sharif is no longer with us. Despite all the efforts, he could not reach America for his treatment. Before his death, German doctors said that he was recovering and would probably leave for Washington in a day or two but after dialysis his condition worsened and his heart stopped working. The doctors tried their best but they couldn\u2019t save him. May Allah grant him highest ranks in Jannah\u201d, said Dr. Tariq.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Reema Khan shared the video on her official Instagram account. Her husband Dr. Tariq Shahab revealed the cause of death behind Umer Sharif\u2019s passing.<\/p>\n
While Reema Khan said;<\/p>\n
“I\u2019m still in a shock, because the night before his death we were preparing for his arrival and the next morning when we woke up we found out that Umer Sharif is no longer with us.\u201d<\/p>\n
