Aryan Khan Bail<\/h3>\n

Earlier in October, the star kid was arrested by Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in a case related to possession of contraband. The initial bail for The Lion King<\/em><\/strong> Hindi dubber was rejected leading to a time-consuming process for bail. SRK and Aryan Khan’s lawyers had to file for bail in a special court.<\/p>\n

Luckily after a few court hearings, Aryan is now home. It was the Bombay High Court that finally cut the star kid some slack.<\/p>\n

Both Aryan Khan and co-accused Arbaaz Merchant and Munmun Dhamecha were released on bail. Previously a special NDPS court rejected their bail plea in the cruise ship drug bust case.<\/p>\n\t\t

Opposing the bail plea in HC, the NCB counsel, ASG Anil Singh said applicant Aryan Khan is not a first-hand consumer but a regular consumer of drugs for the last two years. He also pointed out that Aryan was found in \u2018conscious possession’<\/em>\u00a0of contraband.<\/p>\n

\u201cThere is a case that a person might not have consumed the drug, but if he\u2019s in possession of it, he can be booked under NDPS, accused Aryan was found in conscious possession of contraband.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Despite, film and drama glamorizing the use of contraband in India, the country has rather strict possession and narcotic use laws.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, a day earlier, Senior Advocate Amit Desai, representing co-accused and Aryan\u2019s friend Arbaaz Merchant, argued before the single-judge bench of Justice Nitin W Sambre that the NCB\u2019s arrests in the case were ‘illegal’ because the agency failed to follow the procedure under section 41A of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC).<\/p>\n\t\t
