As Ramzan drama Chaudhry & Sons<\/em><\/strong> released a second teaser this weekend starring Imran Ashraf and Ayeza Khan it has perked the interest of audiences.<\/p>\n

This is the first time Imran Ashraf has been cast as the male lead in a full-blown rom-com in the drama scene. However, he does have a rom-com film lined up, Dum Mastam<\/em><\/strong>.<\/p>\n\t\t

Although Ayeza Khan is a regular in Ramzan dramas, with her stint in Chupke Chupke<\/em><\/strong> last year, it will be interesting if she plays a different character this time around.<\/p>\n

Both characters are depicted in very interesting contrast in the teaser. It appears that Billu is the son of a pehlwan but that he is himself an ‘urbanized shokha<\/em>‘, fif it’s appropriate to use that term. Meanwhile, Ayeza’s character is from Hyderabad, the polar opposite of the Punjabi munda.<\/p>\n

It seems opposites attract in this story. Despite the comedy, Chaudhry & Sons<\/em> <\/strong>has an important underlying message. Addressing the ‘same caste’ marriage issues and how family elders are rigid about inter-caste and creed relationships. Going as far as to deny the idea of their children’s happiness in order to oppose marrying outside their ‘biraadari<\/em>‘.<\/p>\n\n
