After the Urdu-dubbed version of Dirili\u015f Ertu\u011frul<\/em><\/strong> swept the sub-continent, the Bengali dubbed version of the sequel series Kurulu\u015f: Osman<\/em><\/strong> is taking over Bangladesh.<\/p>\n

According to officials at the Dhaka-based satellite and cable channel National Television (NTV), the Turkish period drama has become one of the most popular series in Bangladesh. It is pertinent to mention that NTV has been airing the series since February 2, 2022.<\/p>\n

Speaking to Anadolu Agency<\/a>, senior producer of NTV, Shah Md Saifullah Saif said;<\/p>\n

“People have been lured to the series due to its interesting theme and outstanding visuals, … This is one of the most popular programmes on our television channel and it is a record success that just within one month a mega-series has gained such a massive popularity.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\t\t

According to the producer, the Bangladeshi public loves the series because it depicts history and is based on real events instead of being totally fictional and based instead on mythologies.<\/p>\n

“If you watch Kurulu\u015f: Osman<\/em><\/strong>, you will find a very strong theme, full of excitement, excellent dialogues, awesome visual sequences, filming at some very attractive hilly and forest sites of the historic city of Istanbul.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

The public opinion is rather obvious as colorful posters depicting Kurulu\u015f: Osman<\/em><\/strong> can be seen hanging on the walls near different street-side tea stalls and pillars of flyovers.<\/p>\n

A resident of Dhaka, Abdus Salam shared that despite watching the series with English subtitles, he is now watching the Bengali dubbed version.<\/p>\n

“I have already enjoyed all episodes of Kurulus: Osman through the internet with Bengali and English subtitles. Now I am enjoying the Bengali dubbing episodes with my family members.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He added that the Turkish period drama is the most popular TV show among his family and other relatives.<\/p>\n\t\t

The Bengali subbed version of Kurulu\u015f: Osman<\/em><\/strong> has been viewed by a huge number of people through other digital platforms. The Toffee app divided episodes into smaller segments and has been releasing the series for Bengali speakers around the world. The first episode of season two has been viewed 5.2 million times through the Toffee app.<\/p>\n
