Sang-e-Mah<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>has garnered quite a lot of praises from the fans, not just only for its stellar cast but its powerful story and remarkable acting skills of the entire star cast. The chivalrous character of Atif Aslam and his chemistry with Kubra Khan has got the fans swooning over the duo.<\/p>\n

After Bol<\/strong><\/em>, Atif Aslam was seen in a dramatically different avatar this year on the silver screen and fans were gushing over his masculine character. Atif appeared in role of such a nature for the first time.<\/p>\n

Fans and critics alike have not only praised his debut performance as Hilmand on TV, but are also convinced that Aslam did justice to the character. The Rockstar<\/a> had been in the skin of Hilmand which made it more winsome.<\/p>\n

But there is a twist. Recently, the show runner Hassan and writer Mustafa Afridi were spotted in a Nauman Ijaz show ‘G Sarkar’, <\/em> The duo discussed the casting decisions for Hilmand. Hasan shared that they always wanted a new person to essay the role of Hilmand and while the producer Momina Duraid agreed with them, she specifically wanted the new face to be a \u201csuperstar\u201d.<\/p>\n

“We did not want to sign a known television actor for the role because they bring certain baggage with them. Hilmand is this poetic genius who\u2019s a little wild, a little crazy, a little lost. It was a character never played on TV or film before and so we wanted someone who could bring the uniqueness with them,” Hasan said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

They too disclosed that the Sang-e-Mah<\/strong><\/em> team was engaged in discussion with Fawad Khan, Ali Zafar and Bilal Ashraf prior to finalizing Aslam for the role.<\/p>\n

However, Hassan concluded by saying:<\/p>\n

“When we pitched the script to Atif, he loved it. We immediately flew to Lahore and had a whole session with him and finalized him for the role instantly”.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
