Popular Indian singer KK (aka Krishnakumar Kunnath<\/a>) passed away on Tuesday. The 53-year-old singer was in Kolkata performing a gig for thousands of his fans. According to reports, KK fell down the stairs of his hotel where he was staying for the duration of his concert.<\/p>\n

Fans mourn the tragic loss of the singer as his last post on social media was him acknowledging his fans in attendance at the Nazrul Mancha auditorium.<\/p>\n

Krishnakumar Kunnath, or popularly known as KK, was a legendary Indian playback singer. The 53-year-old recorded songs in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Bengali, Assamese and Gujarati languages. KK began his career singing commercial jingles before making his debut for a film soundtrack with the renowned A.R. Rahman.<\/p>\n
