It&#8217;s good to see that streak going as more inspiring female characters are seen on-screen.<\/p>\n<p>Looks like drama creators are finally catching on that audiences are tired of watching women being abused on screen. This is why drama serials like <strong><em>Mere Humsafar<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Dil-e-Veeran<\/em><\/strong>, and <strong><em>Aik Sitam Aur<\/em><\/strong> are just frustrating to watch.<\/p>\n<p>For a change, we\u2019re seeing several more strong female characters in Pakistani dramas. Like &#8216;Zara&#8217; from <strong><em>Tanhaiyan<\/em><\/strong>, or &#8216;Najia&#8217; from<strong><em>Parchaiyan<\/em><\/strong>. From Sajal Aly&#8217;s Shanaya and particularly her mother played by Laila Wasti. To Yumna Zaidi&#8217;s phenomenal Azka, a women who proves her strength through introversion.<\/p>\n<p>Then there&#8217;s her mother played by Simi Raheal. A woman who being widowed early in life and being a single mom, continues ton persevere.<\/p>\n<p>Despite her daughter-in-law Kanwal, played by Uzma Hassan, being difficult in the beginning, she continued being patient.
