Pakistan is all about peace, love, and compassion. Time and again Pakistan has proved that it practices and supports all three elements. Despite its history and political feuds with India or any other country, Pakistan has always been the first to shake friendly hands and invite people with warmth, respect, and compassion.<\/p>\n

Recently, 92 years old Reena Verma visited Pakistan to see her ancestral house that she left behind at the time of partition in 1947. Verma was only 15 years old when she left, now after spending 77 years of her life in India Reena had a wish to see her house.<\/p>\n

The 92-year-old Reena joined a Facebook group named, ‘India-Pakistan Heritage Club’<\/em> in the hope to have her wish fulfilled. She shared her utmost desire to see her home once again. An individual from the club Mr. Sajid Hussain vowed to help her. She shared a few milestones as her house was in a well-known place in Rawalpindi.<\/p>\n

Sajid got successful in tracking down the place and sent her the photos. Overjoyed Reena Verma applied for a visa which was dismissed leaving her devastated. She shared her unrest on social media carrying it to the consideration of the authorities and was conceded a 3-month visa by High Commissioner. Reena finally arrived Pakistan teary-eyed through the Wagah-Attari border, she reached her ancestral home in Prem Niwas Mahalla<\/em>, situated on DAV College Road, Rawalpindi after and got a warm welcome.<\/p>\n

“People living on both sides of the border love each other very much and we should remain as one,” Verma said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

She further added<\/p>\n

“I moved to India at the time of Partition. Friends and food here are still fresh in my mind. Even today, the smell of these streets brings back old memories. I did not even imagine that I would ever come back here in life. Our culture is one. We are the same people. We all want to meet each other. A local person found me and sponsored a visa after which I reached Rawalpindi through the Wagah border,”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

People are awestruck by the heartening entrance of Reena into her home<\/a> after 77 years.<\/p>\n
