Things got a bit intense between Shahid Afridi and cricketer Ahmed Shehzad during an interview on Samaa TV’s\u00a0Game Set Match<\/em><\/strong>. In the interview, Afridi talks about the absence of Shehzad from Pakistan’s national cricket team.<\/p>\n

According to\u00a0Lala<\/em>, Ahmed Shehzad became the target of public scrutiny due to Afridi’s support of the opening batsman.<\/p>\n

“Ahmad was targeted because of me because I supported him a lot,” Afridi said. “I gave him a lot of chances, which turned out to be a negative thing for him when I left captaincy. People thought he was my favorite. I supported him a lot because I wasn’t finding an opener of his ability in Pakistan. \u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

As Shahid Afridi spoke, Ahmed Shehzad was visibly fuming about his former captain’s remarks.<\/p>\n

\u201cShahid bhai<\/em>, listen,” Shehzad calmly responds. “I don’t know why you said that. You’ve been a elder brother to me, you can say anything to me. Sometimes, it does hurt me.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Afridi tells him to “chill at home, focus on cricket and enjoy his family.” To which Ahmed Shehzad burst out. He indirectly attacks Afridi by implying\u00a0Lala\u00a0<\/em>is the reason why he wasn’t picked for the Pakistan Super League (PSL)<\/p>\n

\u201cI want to score runs, but at least don’t deny me the platforms where I can score. I will ask you, when sides in PSL want to pick me, who comes in and says no?” Shehzad asks. “You tell me, where do I score runs? At my home?\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n
