After more than a year since Nicki Minaj’s father was killed in a car accident, the driver responsible for the vehicular crime has been sentenced to jail.<\/p>\n
Robert Maraj died in a hit-and-run back in February 2021. The 64-year-old had been walking on Long Island when he was hit by the car. He was rushed to a hospital in a critical state. Where Robert Maraj died from his injuries.<\/p>\n
Nicki eventually opened up about the tragedy on her website saying;<\/p>\n

As per TMZ, the court ordered him to serve one year in jail and pay a fine of\u00a0 $5,000 after pleading guilty to two felony charges.<\/p>\n
The two charges against Charles Polevich are, leaving the scene of the accident without reporting it, and tampering with physical evidence.<\/p>\n
At the time of the incident, the police said that the driver fled the scene and tried to hide the car in a detached garage at his place.<\/p>\n\t\t
