Recently, singer Momina Mustehsan<\/a> attended the prestigious Forbes Power Women’s Summit in Las Vegas, USA. The singer made her mark at the event, using the platform to raise awareness about the issues in Pakistan. She held a placard that read out:<\/p>\n

\u201cToday, it is Pakistan. Tomorrow, it could be your country. #ClimateEmergency.\u201d Her note was a clear message to the world about the recent destructive floods in Pakistan caused by the changing climate and melting ice caps.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

While most people attended the event in fancy gowns, Momina Mustehsan made her own ‘power’ statement, wearing a chic and\u00a0mardaana<\/em> black\u00a0shalwar kurta<\/em>. She also wore strappy black heels with a matching choker and minimal makeup and hairdo.<\/p>\n

The singer took to social media to thank Forbes for inviting her to the global event.<\/p>\n

“Thank you Forbes for inviting me to the Power Women’s Summit,” Momina wrote on Twitter. “Congratulations for completing 10 years and thank you for curating such meaningful, impactful and important conversations and interactions between women. It is always so inspiring and uplifting to be in these environments.”<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Momina Mustehsan is a very popular music artist from Lahore. The singer is a humble, down-to-earth musician who loves to travel around the world. She is one of the few Pakistani female celebrities to be featured in 2017 BBC’s list of ‘100 Most Influential Women’. Not only that, the “Afreen Afreen<\/em>” singer and songwriter is also in the list of Forbes magazine’s “30 Under 30”.<\/p>\n\t\t
