The education activist-turned-movie producer, Malala Yousafzai<\/a>, will soon visit Pakistan to help its flood-affected communities this month.<\/p>\n

The executive producer of Joyland<\/em><\/strong> is expected to reach her country of origin on 12 October on a three days visit.<\/p>\n

The Malala Fund has already issued an emergency relief grant to the International Rescue Committee (IRC). With this grant, the IRC will provide psychosocial support to girls in Sindh and Balochistan. It will also deliver emergency education services to ensure that girls can continue their education, and will repair and rehabilitate 10 damaged girls\u2019 government school buildings.<\/p>\n\t\t

Yousafzai recently revealed the first slate of projects that her production company, Extracurricular, is working on:<\/p>\n

  1. A documentary on the historic haenyeo<\/em> fisherwomen society of Jeju Island, South Korea.<\/li>\n
  2. A feature adapted from Elaine Hsieh Chou\u2019s book Disorientation.<\/em><\/li>\n
  3. A series based on Asha Lemmie\u2019s New York Times best-selling novel, Fifty Words for Rain<\/em>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    All her films will be based on women\u2019s empowerment.<\/p>\n
