Mere Humsafar<\/em><\/strong> bid farewell to TV screen last week and also left fans wanting for more of Farhan and Hania together on screen. Fortunately, Mere Humsafar<\/strong><\/em>‘s<\/strong> director, Qasim Ali Mureed, has some good news for\u00a0FarHania fans.<\/span><\/p>\n

He told Something Haute, “<\/span>The kind of response I\u2019ve received, it\u2019s unbelievable. They\u2019ve all gone mad, \u2018We want season two,\u2019 they\u2019re saying. There are thousands of messages”.<\/p>\n

Mureed also revealed that talks about bringing the duo back for another story are<\/span> underway. However, he did confirm that the new production will not be a Mere Humsafar<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0sequel<\/a>.<\/p>\n

He elaborated:<\/p>\n

I hope so. It won\u2019t be a season two exactly, it could be the same team creating a drama together with an arc that matches <\/span>Mere Humsafar\u2019s<\/span><\/em>, maybe even a character. I\u2019m looking forward to doing another project with Farhan and Hania and why not, Saira Raza could be the writer.<\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Mureed also clarified, “<\/span>Of course, a different setup. It won\u2019t be the second season. It\u2019s in the talks, hasn\u2019t been locked yet. The biggest issue is that people are so busy, it\u2019s difficult to match the timelines”.<\/p>\n
