<\/p>\nPopular Islamic scholar, Ismail ibn Musa Menk, (aka Mufti Menk), enjoyed some quality with his family in Dubai. The 47-year-old Grand Mufti set social media abuzz with a picture of himself on a flyboard (a pair of boots with jet nozzles for fun water sports).<\/p>\n

A netizen called the Zimbabwean scholar out for not being a ‘real sheikh’ and reasoned that the Grand Mufti should be concerned about his U<\/em>mmah (<\/em>Muslim community) and not “waste time” in indulging in sich recreational activities.<\/p>\n Mufti Menk schooled the rude individual in a humble manner, preaching the importance of maintaining a balance between life and religion.<\/p>\n He said,<\/p>\n Real sheikhs wouldn\u2019t ever see your comment on social media either and take the time to reply. A few minutes spent every year doesn’t determine the genuineness or not of a person. Rasulallah (Prophet Muhammad) also engaged in many recreative activities with his family. We must be balanced. Our children and family members have a right over us.
