Sonya Hussyn, the lead actress of the upcoming movie, Tich Button<\/em><\/strong>, has just served its producer, Urwa Hocane, a legal notice for\u00a0a payment disagreement.<\/p>\n

She is now demanding Rs.5 million as compensation in damages for the undesirable circumstances Urwa Hocane had created for her over the last two years.<\/p>\n

Sonya Hussayn’s legal team addressed the matter by reminding Urwa Hocane that she had entered into contractual relations with its client and that she had agreed to pay a certain amount to the former \u201cunder precise terms and conditions\u201d on the completion of the project.<\/p>\n\t\t

Note that the project had started on 2 February 2020 and ended in June of the same year but had been shelved because of the pandemic.<\/p>\n

The notice states that even though Sonya Hussyn\u00a0had performed her part of the contract in exceptional circumstances such as the pandemic, despite repeated requests and reminders, she was not paid her dues in a \u201cbreach of contract\u201d.<\/p>\n

According to the notice, Urwa Hocane<\/i><\/b> had fraudulently attempted to pay the actress Rs. 500, 000 but the latter had returned that cheque and explicitly refuses to be prey to [Urwa\u2019s] fraudulent scheme.<\/p>\n

Sonya Hussyn is still demanding the outstanding payment that was agreed upon in the contract in addition to Rs. 5 million for \u201cgeneral damages\u201d on account of \u201cdistress, dismay, mental torture, humiliation and embarrassment\u201d within 14 days of Urwa Hocane’s receipt of the notice.<\/p>\n\t\t

Upon failure of acting by Urwa Hocane, Sonya Hussyn has instructed her legal team to proceed with civil and criminal legal provisions of the Pakistan Penal Code, 1860 for criminal breach of trust, cheating, fraud, and misrepresentation.<\/p>\n

The rom-com Tich Button<\/em><\/strong> movie will be released on 11 November. The fun-filled film is about love and friendship, and its four lead actors \u2013 Feroze Khan, Farhan Saeed, Iman Ali, and Sonya Hussyn will share the screen space for the first time.<\/p>\n
