The pop star Meesha Shafi is all set to make her mark in the Pakistani-American film Mustache<\/strong><\/em> with popular comic, Hasan Minhaj, and Clueless<\/em><\/strong> star, Alicia Silverstone.<\/p>\n

According to the entertainment website Deadline<\/em>, the film marks the directorial debut of Imran J Khan, known for the award-winning short Prom<\/em><\/strong>, which was based on ideas from Minhaj’s stand-up special Homecoming King.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Rizwan Manji, Atharva Verma, Ayana Manji, Meesha Shafi, Alicia Silverstone, and Hasan Minhaj have signed on to star in the largely autobiographical project.<\/p>\n\t\t

Mustache<\/em><\/strong> revolves around Ilyas (Atharva Verma), an eccentric 13-year-old boy who sets off to navigate the social hierarchy of his new California public school with a mustache his parents will not allow him to shave off.<\/p>\n

Rizwan Manji will play Hameed, Ilyas’s father, and Meesha Shafi will play his mother. The latter’s daughter, Ayana, will play Ilyas’s school friend, Yasmeen.<\/p>\n

Details about Alicia Silverstone’s and Hasan Minhaj’s roles haven’t been disclosed yet.<\/p>\n
