The Punjab Information and Culture Department has changed the members and office bearers of the Punjab Film and Censor Board. The change includes the appointment of the famous actor, writer, and host, Vasay Chaudhry as the new Vice-chairman of the Punjab Film Censor Board, and the addition of the producer of the blockbuster film, The Legend of Maula Jatt<\/em><\/strong>, Ammara Hikmat as a non-official member of the board.<\/p>\n

The new board has been constituted for the coming two years. According to an official of the Punjab Information and Culture Department, the appointment of new members is routine and an official process.<\/p>\n

According to an official notification, five official members will now be at the helm of the Punjab Film and Censor Board, including Chaudhry Gul Zaman as Chairman and Vasay Chaudhry as Vice-chairman. Meanwhile, the Secretary of the Department of Information and Culture or its nominee will be an official member, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Home Department or its nominee will be an official member, and the Secretary of Law and Parliamentary Affairs or its nominee will be an official member of the Punjab Film and Censor Board.<\/p>\n

As per reports, seven non-official members will head the board. These members include Ammara Hikmat, Juggan Kazim, Abid Rasheed, Ali Tanveer, Zaigham Gondal, and Fatima Ahmad Khan.<\/p>\n
