Sallam, and its producers, Deema Azar and Ayah Jardaneh, released a statement following the Israeli ministers\u2019 attack on their film, criticizing what they called \u201cthe accusations to discredit Farha\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>The statement reads,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>The film\u2019s writer\/director, Darin J. She also revealed that it is the story of a friend of her mother, both of whom met each other as young women in Syria.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe story traveled over the years to reach me. It stayed with me.
