A Lahore session court issued a non-bailable arrest warrant arrest for TikToker Ayesha Akram on Friday for not appearing before the court for the 2021 Minar-e-Pakistan<\/em>\u00a0harassment case.<\/p>\n

In a written order released yesterday, it stated that she is ineligible for bail due to her failure to appear in court for her harassment case.<\/p>\n

Ayesha Akram and all the other witnesses were arrested by the local station head officer (SHO) and will be presented in the session court. The hearing on the case has been rescheduled for 5 January 2023.<\/p>\n\t\t

The sessions court indicted all the suspects in her harassment case from last year in the previous hearing.<\/p>\n

During the hearing of the case, the court indicted Ayesha Akram’s accomplice, Rambo, along with Asad Azmat, Muhammad Bilal, and other suspects. However, the suspects who were presented before the court denied the indictment.<\/p>\n\t\t

Hundreds of males manhandled and groped Ayesha Akram at the Minar-e-Pakistan last year on 14 August after she revealed her plans to visit the historic place. She had intended for it to be a usual meet-and-greet but it escalated into a horror story, with even security being unable to intervene.<\/p>\n

Protests were held all across the country against the incident. As the matter garnered massive public backlash on social media, it was taken up by authorities after Ayesha Akram lodged a complaint about the incident at the Larri Ada police station. Consequently, over 100 people were taken into custody in the case.
