A KFC employee was shot by a furious customer who was allegedly unhappy because the restaurant had run out of corn in St. Louis, Missouri, earlier this week.<\/p>\n

The shooting took place on Monday at 6:30 PM, and the employee was immediately rushed to the hospital, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.<\/p>\n

Police officials noted <\/span>that the 25-year-old victim, who was shot in the abdomen, was taken to the local hospital by a bystander and<\/span>\u00a0could not be interviewed due to his injuries.<\/span><\/p>\n

Investigators believe that when the suspect attempted to get his order from the restaurant’s drive-thru, the employee on duty informed him that the drive-thru was out of corn. After that, the customer became upset and started threatening the employee over the speaker box.<\/span><\/p>\n

Shortly after, he arrived at a drive-thru window armed with a handgun.<\/span><\/p>\n

The employee went outside to speak with him but returned to the KFC with a gunshot wound.<\/span><\/p>\n

The shooter reportedly fled immediately.<\/p>\n\t\t

According to the police, the victim is hospitalized with injuries and is in a critical but stable state.<\/p>\n

The police described him as a skinny, bushy-bearded, black male, aged between 40 and 50. He was last spotted wearing a grey hoodie and a blue denim jacket.<\/p>\n
