Aerosmith frontman, Steven Tyler, is being sued by a woman who claims that he sexually abused her when she was a minor in the 1970s.<\/p>\n

The lawsuit was filed in Los Angeles under soon-to-expire legislation that waives the statute of limitations for accusations of childhood abuse, and it charges sexual assault, sexual violence, and intentional infliction of mental distress.<\/p>\n

The\u00a0<\/span>suit <\/span>does\u00a0<\/span>not\u00a0<\/span>name<\/span> Steven Tyler but refers to the defendants as ‘Defendant Doe 1’ and ‘Does 1 and 2 through 50’.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

It reads:<\/p>\n

When Plaintiff was 16 years old, DEFENDANT DOE 1 used his role, status, and power as a well-known musician and rock star to gain access to, groom, manipulate, exploit, sexually assault Plaintiff over the course of over three years<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Julia Holcomb was highlighted in Rolling Stone<\/em>‘s 1976 feature of the band.<\/p>\n

The suit also references Steven Tyler’s memoir in which he writes about a connection with an unidentified young lady whose “parents fell in love with me, signed a form over for me to have custody, so I wouldn’t get arrested if I took her out of state. I brought her along on my tour.”<\/p>\n

The suit outlines how Julia Holcomb felt powerless to resist Tyler’s power, status, and fortune, and that he “coerced and persuaded Plaintiff into believing this was a ‘romantic love affair'”.<\/p>\n

It is claimed that the couple met shortly after her 16th<\/sup>\u00a0birthday in 1973 in Oregon, after which they went to the singer’s hotel room.<\/p>\n
