After the blockbuster hit Avatar: The Way Of Water<\/em><\/strong>, filmmaker James Cameron announced that its next episode is in the works now and, also confirmed to work on more films in the franchise which include Avatar 4 and 5.<\/p>\n

Avatar: The Way of Water<\/em><\/strong> is absolutely owning the box office as the film has collected $1.547 billion worldwide. This means that it has officially surpassed Top Gun: Maverick\u2019s $1.48 billion and is now the highest-grossing film of 2022. Celebrating this achievement, Cameron gave an optimistic update about the upcoming Avatar 3, 4, and 5.<\/p>\n\t\t

It looks like just with the momentum that the film has now that will easily pass our break even in the next few days, so it looks like I can\u2019t wiggle out of this, I\u2019m gonna have to do these other sequels.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Cameron further added, \u201cI know what I\u2019m going to be doing the next six or seven years. The point is we\u2019re going to be okay. I\u2019m sure that we\u2019ll have a discussion soon with the top folks at Disney about the game plan going forward for \u2018Avatar 3\u2019, which is already in the can \u2013 we\u2019ve already captured and photographed the whole film so we\u2019re in extended post-production to do all that CG magic.\u201d<\/p>\n

James concluded with, \u201cAnd then \u2018Avatar 4\u2019 and \u20185\u2019 are both written. We even have some of \u20184\u2019 in the can. We\u2019ve begun a franchise at this point. We\u2019ve begun a saga that can now play out over multiple films.\u201d<\/p>\n
