Michael Jackson will be played by the late icon\u2019s 26-year-old nephew Jaafar Jackson in the Antoine Fuqua-directed film biopic Michael<\/em><\/strong> for Lionsgate. The singer and songwriter, Jaafar Jackson is the son of Jermaine Jackson, who is the brother of Michael and a member of The Jackson 5.<\/p>\n

According to the sources, the Emancipation<\/em><\/strong> helmer signed on to direct Michael<\/em><\/strong>, which has a script by John Logan. The film\u2019s being produced by Graham King, who turned the Freddie Mercury Queen story into the blockbuster Bohemian Rhapsody<\/em><\/strong>. GK Films will produce alongside the co-executors of Jackson\u2019s estate, John Branca and John McClain.<\/p>\n

Michael<\/em><\/strong> is expected to depict the complicated legacy of the man who became known as the King of Pop. According to the reports, the film will explore all aspects of his life, \u201cincluding his most iconic performances that led him to become the greatest entertainer of all time.\u201d<\/p>\n
