Preparations for Kashmir Solidarity Day on February 5 (Sunday) are edging towards completion all around the country, with a variety of events planned.<\/p>\n

The events are planned to demonstrate solidarity with the people of Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their legitimate and principled struggle for their inherent right to self-determination.<\/p>\n

Various public and private departments, educational institutions, and literary and cultural organizations, have planned conferences, rallies, seminars, etc to highlight the Kashmiri people’s struggle for their right to self-determination in accordance with UN resolutions.<\/p>\n\t\t

The struggle of the Kashmiri people for their just right to self-determination, as well as gross human rights violations in the valley, will be highlighted in print and electronic media along with Pakistan’s stance on resolving the Kashmir issue in accordance with UN declarations and Kashmiri people’s aspirations.<\/p>\n

The day will begin with special prayers for Kashmir’s martyrs, the triumph of the independence movement, and a show of solidarity with the Kashmiri people.<\/p>\n\t\t

To commemorate Kashmir Solidarity Day, the National Institute of Folk and Traditional Heritage, Lok Virsa, in partnership with the Ministry of Kashmir Affairs, Gilgit-Baltistan, and the Federal Directorate of Education, is hosting a three-day colorful Kashmir Cultural Festival from February 3-5.<\/p>\n

The festival’s primary features are Kashmiri artisans at work, folk crafts, patriotic song performances, folk musical performances, young folk paintings, cuisines, a photography exhibition, and video documentary screenings.<\/p>\n\t\t

Every year, Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day to demonstrate our steadfast political, moral, and diplomatic support for Kashmiri brethren’s rightful fight for their right to self-determination, as embodied in the UN Charter and pertinent UN resolutions.<\/p>\n

The day is observed by public processions, special prayers in mosques for Kashmir’s independence, and protests and rallies against Indian persecution of the IIOJK.<\/p>\n
