Singer-turned-government official, Hazim Bangwar made clarifications regarding his sexuality after a few keyboard warriors trolled him on social media.<\/p>\n

The 29-year-old cleared everyone’s misconception, stating that he is a male. Hazim also lectured the online trolls about respecting women and transgenders.<\/p>\n

The newly-appointed Assistant Commissioner of North Nazimabad, Karachi was bombarded with mean tweets and hurtful comments on his colorful personality and “eclectic” taste in fashion. Netizens felt that his mannerism is a bit too “feminine”.<\/p>\n\t\t

In a recent interview, he said:<\/p>\n

There’s some misconceptions, that I want to clear. Never have I held any colorful flag (LGBTQ) nor have I posted it on social media… I’m not a transgender, I’m not a woman, I’m a male.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

He further added that he wasn’t personally offended, but felt upset when people used “women” as an insult as it is offensive to mothers, sisters, working women, and female officers because it reinforces the old, outdated stereotype about women.<\/p>\n\n

Bangwar finished his first degree in Fashion Design and Marketing from AIU London. He then went on to pursue an LLB from a university in London.<\/p>\n

Hazim is also very fond of music and fashion and is also a singer\/songwriter. He released his first single called “Haram<\/em>” in 2019, which became a viral hit in South Korea, Hungry, Egypt, and even India, becoming the first Pakistani singer to reach the international music charts with an English song. He has also written his first Urdu song in 2021.<\/p>\n
