The 2023 Grammy Awards took place last night in Los Angeles. Hollywood celebrities and international artists from all around the world showed up for the music industry’s biggest award show. Among the likes of Taylor Swift, Beyonc\u00e9, Cardi B, and more, Pakistan’s very own Arooj Aftab made her presence felt during the star-studded event.<\/p>\n

The Grammy-winning singer was nominated for the ‘Best Global Music Performance’ category, hoping to win back-to-back awards. However, this time around, her song Udhero Na\u00a0<\/em>lost out to Wouter Kellerman, Zakes Bantwini, and Nomcebo Zikode’s\u00a0Bayethe<\/em>.<\/p>\n

Nonetheless, the 29-year-old put on a show-stealing performance as she took center stage with Anoushka Shankar to perform her hit single in front of the who’s who of the music industry.<\/p>\n\t\t

Arooj Aftab is a US-based Pakistani singer, composer, and producer who has been breaking new ground with her soulful tunes. The 37-year-old has steadily been gaining global attention for her work that fuses various genres such as jazz, folk, minimalism, and neo-Sufi.<\/p>\n
