Renowned Indian filmmaker Sanjay Leela Bhansali is set to make his Netflix debut with a new web-series titled Heeramandi<\/strong><\/em>. The series will feature a star-studded Bollywood cast including Manisha Koirala, Sonakshi Sinha, Richa Chadha, Sanjeeda Shaikh, Sharmin Segal, and Aditi Rao Hydari.<\/p>\n

The series will reportedly explore the stories of the courtesans of Heera mandi<\/em>, sometimes referred to as Shahi Mohallah (“Royal Neighborhood”) which was a famous red-light district in Lahore during the pre-Partition era.<\/p>\n

The series will be set in the early 20th century and will delve into the lives of the women who lived and worked there. The show will focus on the lives of the courtesans, their struggles, their relationships, and their journey towards independence.<\/p>\n\t\t
