Popular actor Adnan Siddiqui schooled Bollywood diva Priyanka Chopra after the Indian actress congratulated Oscar-winning filmmaker Sharmeen Obaid-Chinoy as the first South Asian director for the upcoming Star Wars\u00a0<\/em><\/strong>film.<\/p>\n

In a tweet, Siddiqui pointed out that Obaid-Chinoy is first and foremost a Pakistani and suggested Chopra should “brush up” on her knowledge. He also drew a comparison to the way Chopra often emphasizes her Indian nationality.<\/p>\n

Siddiqui’s response was praised by netizens for highlighting the importance of acknowledging and respecting cultural identities.<\/p>\n\t\t
