With excitement building up for the 2023 ODI World Cup in India, cricket fans have started to look for innovative ways to catch the India-Pakistan World Cup showdown at Ahmedabad on October 15.<\/p>\n

According to the Ahmedabad Mirror reports, Since hotel rates in the city have hit a record high, fans are now making their way to hospital rooms in the city.<\/p>\n

This may sound bizarre and it is. Left with no other alternative due to the spiralling costs, fans are making inquiries at hospitals for their stay. And it is being reported that hospitals too are being welcoming.<\/p>\n

While the priority remains the health care of the patients, hospitals are willing to accommodate these fans, who are also keen on doing a medical check-up during their stay.<\/p>\n

Dr Paras Shah, who works at a hospital in the city, told Ahmedabad Mirror.<\/p>\n

These people are ready for any, from deluxe to suite room, whatever is offered to them. Since we have limited rooms, we are being judicious in taking such advance bookings from NRIs because our priority is patient care.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In addition to the India vs Pakistan match, Ahmedabad will also play host to the opening match of the tournament between England and New Zealand and will also be the venue for the final on November 19.<\/p>\n
