In a dramatic turn of events, the Indian Hindu girl, Anju, who reached Pakistan last week after leaving her two kids and a husband in India for a Pakistani Muslim Facebook friend is now married to her lover. According to the reports she has now converted to Islam and changed her name to Fatima.<\/p>\n

Anju legally traveled to a remote village in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province. The report also stated that the couple’s union was formalized in a nikkah ceremony at the district courts in Upper Dir.<\/p>\n

A video widely shared on social media shows Anju and Nasrullah holding hands and visiting scenic mountainous spots in the region.<\/p>\n

Malakand Division DIG Nasir Mehmood Satti confirmed the nikkah of 35 years old Anju and 29 years old Nasrullah stating that the woman has taken the name of Fatima after conversion to Islam. According to police, the couple appeared in the district court in Dir Bala in the presence of family members of Nasrullah, police personnel, and lawyers.<\/p>\n\t\t

Due to security reasons, the woman was escorted to her new in-law’s home from court under police security.<\/p>\n

The development comes a day after Anju, now known as Fatima, claimed that she had no plans to marry Nasrullah and would return to India on August 20 when her visa expires.<\/p>\n

Even Nasrullah, while speaking to the news agency on Monday, dismissed reports of any love affair between them, stating that he had no plan of marrying Anju. Nasrulla and Anju became friends on Facebook in 2019.<\/p>\n

Nasrallah told the media over the phone from the village of Kulsho,<\/p>\n

Anju is on a visit to Pakistan and we have no plan to marry, she will go back to her country on August 20 after her visa expires. Anju is living in a separate room of his home with the other female members of my family.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Anju has traveled to the Upper Dir district of Pakistan’s tribal Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on a valid Pakistani visa to meet Nasrullah.<\/p>\n

Anju’s father had earlier claimed she is mentally disturbed and eccentric but not involved in any affair. He also said it was wrong on her part to go to Pakistan without informing anyone. And now after hearing the news of her marriage, her father told the reporters that she is good as dead to her family back at home as she has ruined the life of her two children.<\/p>\n
