The widespread impact of social media became all the more apparent as four foreign women arrived in Pakistan’s Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in a single month to be united with the men they had met online via social media applications. After Anju<\/a>, Gao Fang<\/a>, and Nicola (Tiktok meet-up), another foreigner 49-year-old lady’s love story came into the limelight.<\/p>\n

A senior police official told the media channels that 49-year-old Rosa from Mexico arrived in Pakistan on 17 June with complete documentation to marry 18-year-old Izaz Ali, who is a resident of Buner, KPK.<\/p>\n

Rosa and Izaz first became friends via the vastly popular social media platform, Facebook. After falling in love, Rosa traveled to Pakistan to unite with Izaz and converted to Islam, adopting the Islamic name Ayesha Bibi.\u00a0She then married Izaz in a traditional Pashtun wedding with great pomp on 27 June.<\/p>\n

According to Buner DPO Shah Hasan, after the wedding, Ayesha Bibi, who is also a permanent resident of the US, returned to Mexico on 19 July.<\/p>\n\t\t

He further said that the groom had taken the matriculation exam and would leave for Mexico after his result is announced.<\/p>\n

However, according to the marriage certificate and other documents available from media outlets, Ayesha Bibi is older than 49 years.<\/p>\n
